Presentation of the 2003 Hillary Medal

The first Sir Edmund Hillary Mountain Legacy Medal was presented to Helen Cawley and Michael Schmitz on the occasion of the Mount Everest Golden Jubilee celebration at Tengboche Monastery (Khumbu, Nepal) on May 29, 2003. Both were congratulated by the host of the event, His Holiness Ngawang Tenzin Zangbu, and by the guest of honor, Peter Hillary.
